Help Assist Jenine Kozey

Dear friends, family, acquaintances and people of all caring kinds,

Since January 2019, Jenine has been wrestling with a very rare and extremely aggressive form of Cancer – namely – a peripheral nerve sheath sarcoma. This whole ordeal started as a pain in her rib, thought to be displaced, but her interest in self-discovery and healing led her to the knowledge that her rib was not dislodged at all - it was being consumed by a hungry tumour. Over the course of 8-9 months, “Mavis the mass” nearly devoured her entire sternum, using it as a food source, physically restricting Jenine from the work she so loves; playing with her kids (and her husband); and tending to her beloved farm.

As many of you know, Jenine received remedial surgery to remove the devouring mass in mid-November 2019, which required a complete removal of her sternum, inches of several ribs, surrounding tissue, and a chunk out of her leg, followed by a complete reconstruction of the compromised areas. By all accounts, they deemed the surgery a “success”. Jenine and her family were yet to exhale with relief before further shock and pain mounded atop months of uncertainty surrounding Jenine’s life.

Within 2 months the cancer returned with devastating force. As if spurned by being “cut out”, three masses ballooned within her chest cavity, one of them nearly double the size of the original bone eater, while the other two encroached on her heart and left lung. Within hours of receiving the scans, Jenine was informed by her head surgeon, a sarcoma specialist, that these latest growths were inoperable. The following week, another cancer doctor from the Allan Blair cancer center, a man Jenine had never met in person, confirmed that radiation and chemo were also clinical dead ends, that her “cancer is terminal”, to get her “affairs” in order, and that “nothing can be done”.

Jenine and her family were extremely confused at the apparent veracity of these claims. Within two weeks of this grave prognosis, Jenine and her husband Jordan crossed the Covid-enforced US-Canada border, sights set on one the most advanced late stage cancer centres in the world: Envita Natural Medical Clinic, which employs both alternative and cutting edge technological/genetic approaches. For two months, Jenine has been receiving what she describes as the best possible care she could ever hope for.

While Jenine’s parents have graciously offered to cover the costs of her treatment and the rental cost of her property while in Arizona, without which this entire venture would not be possible (success update to come shortly!), Jenine has incurred several financial hardships since January 2019, stemming from emotional stress, moving to the US, self-healing investments not covered, physical inability, and loss of income due to being forced to suspend her business during periods of healing and treatment. Aside from help via Jenine’s parents, she and her husband are carrying the financial weight of their property in Saskatchewan, as well as the fundamental necessities of living and self-caring in Arizona, added to the loss of income to Jordan’s reduced workload while caring for Jenine, and based on the load Jenine has had to carry, she has arrived at the point where she needs to ask for help.

Now the good news! Recent tests have shown that there is significant cell death in all three of her tumours. This is a long-stride victory from the speed in which the tumours were growing, and a profound achievement compared from the original “go home and get ready to die” rubbish. Pending an expected positive report end-June, Jenine should be able to continue treatment from home with a mandatory trip to Phoenix every 6 weeks (for 2 years), for the administration of a smart drug which will prevent the cancer from returning.

Based on calculations of deficit, Jenine is asking for a base sum of $35,000 to support past losses and surmounting financial pressures; to aid in current living essentials; to help solidify and explore extraneous modes of healing and well-being (that aren’t being covered); to aid in her future efforts in healing her body and preventing the cancer from returning, all while trying to rebuild her business and quality of life. Jenine extends her most heartfelt gratitude to those whom this message will reach.
