Echo Ranch Alaska Mission Trip

Donation protected
Echo Ranch is a faith based camp that serves students in Alaska, providing week long retreats throughout the summer. The camp is staffed by volunteers who serve as counsellors, prepare meals, lead worship, do construction and make repairs, take care of the horses, and many other tasks. The volunteers raise their own support to travel to Alaska and pay for their food and lodging while at camp. Though the camp is not operational year round, caretakers are required to feed the horses and maintain the facility.

Jeff and David Schoenthaler are builders in Central Florida with a heart for service. They have been called to spend eleven weeks, from mid-December to early March at Echo Ranch. This is not a vacation. Winter in Juneau has six hours of daylight each day. The camp generator can only be run six hours a day because of the cost of fuel. While they are at Echo Ranch, Jeff and David will feed the horses and use their carpentry skills to make camp repairs.

Funds are needed to pay for airfare, food, and other expenses incurred while in Alaska. They are excited to use their skills to serve and are thankful for any support you can provide to make this trip possible.
