In the summer of 2015, while doing yard work, Jeff started getting spasms in his left hand. He thought they were from overuse and they would go away.

In October the spasms spread to his leg and he began feeling light headed and noticed that his left arm and leg were weakened. In November 2015, Jeff was diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme, stage 4 brain cancer.  Jeff and Danica were told that all the treatments could help buy time, but that a cure is currently unavailable.

In the last two years, Jeff has valiantly battled through the original tumor and 3 recurrances with 1 surgery, 3 different rounds of radiation and 2 different chemotherapy treatments to no avail.  There is no cure.  The end of Jeff's battle has left him and his family with a few more medical bills (mainly paying out of pocket for things insurance can't do quickly).  Danica has also had to leave her part-time job to be available to care for Jeff and the girls full-time.
