Jeff Hansen's New Kidney Transplant
Jeff Hansen is in need of a kidney transplant due to his only working at a 13% rate. His type 1 diabetes has caused him to become legally blind at a young age. This disability has made daily activities very challenging and has taken away some of his independence. With little vision left, Jeff undergoes visual impairment surgeries routinely.
We are hoping to find a donor and raise enough money as soon as possible. Jeff is looking to undergo a kidney transplant and possibly even a pancreas transplant by next year at the latest. His sister, Deb, is under going testing to see if she can be a potential donor.
Prescriptions alone will be $75,000 a month once the new kidney has been transplanted. Jeff is in need of financial support for supplemental insurance due to Medicare not covering the transplant. He will be expected to go to routine check ups at U of M in Ann Arbor, Michigan and will need money for travel expenses.
Please help us save our loved one. We are doing everything we can as a family for him, but unfortunately it is not enough. Anything will help! Thank you!
The Hansen family.
