Jed Campbell was larger than life and always wore a smile that you were certain was meant for you. He had that special something that made you feel like the most important person in the room. Jed learned to work the crowd at a young age and had every parent eating out of his palm by the age of 10.
Jed love for the water started with a cane pole and the 16th bridge. Then he realized he could travel to most bodies of water on his bike...and he did taking anyone willing to go with him. You knew you would come back with a catch. Jed never lost his love for the water. It is said do what you love and you'll never work a day in you life. Jed embodied that philosophy and worked hard learning about, teaching other and protecting his beloved H2O. He inherited this from his beautiful mother, Virgina, who taught Marine Biology to a generation of high school students.
Beacuse of Jed's love and commitment for open waters of our world that we would like to fund an artificial reef in his memory.
We could think of no better statement of Jed's that joy of fishing, diving, boating or just a general love of the Gulf, a personalized Memorial Reef. It is the perfect and permanent tribute to celebrate and remember him for hundreds of years to come.
The Mexico Beach Artificial Reef Association (MBARA) offers Memorial Reefs that allow families and friends to construct, personalize, and name a reef for their loved one(s). Each Memorial Reef creates a unique ecosystem and provides a permanent and sustainable environment for all marine life.

I think of the joy that Christa and Logan and his entire family might experience having the opportunity to remember him in such a special way. Let's face it....we all would!
