Friends. The severity and devesatation of the fires in Santa Rosa and all around the Northbay have been felt across country. While there are many people whose lives will never be the same, there are a few within those that are close to our hearts. One person in particular, I would like to help as much as I can.

Jeanette Pina has been a resident of Santa Rosa for many years. She is raising an AMAZING 10 year old boy named Aspen - and tries every day to set an example for him.

When Jeanette and Aspen lost their home just days ago, instead of dwelling on the sadness and the sense of loss, she decided to focus on the positive and the hope for their future. She posted pictures of her home in ashes and this sentiment:

"I am not a materialistic person and am ok walking away from lost items. People are what is important and I am blessed to have the people who care for me by my side. Even those from afar! This is what is left. I found an angel ornament Aspen’s great aunt gave me years ago. There is always hope and I will keep my heart and mind open for what the creators plans are for me."

I can't think of a better way to be a role model to such a young boy who will grow up with great character, thanks to his mom.

I am Jeanette's friend - whom I only know through another friend in Santa Rosa. We met and it was easy for me to see the amazing beauty she has to give to this world. I know money can't replace her home or what she lost, but it may help ease the stress or troubles along the way in order to get back on her feet and create a sense of normalcy again for her and Aspen.

I hope to get these funds to Jeanette and Aspen by the December so that they can celebrate life and love during the holidays. Maybe the money can be used to get them into a hotel while they plan their next moves. These funds will be made available to Jeanette to withdraw as soon as she needs them.
