Fighting cancer with Jazlyn (5yrs)
About a month ago my aunt (Jazlyn's mom)discovered a a lump in her stomach. Took her for a visit to her primary Doctor, as soon as he examined her she was sent to the to the Emergency room. They emitted her into then hospital. Discovering later on that day it was a tumor. They decided to run a few more test after that. After a CT scan it it came back that it had spread. There was two more smaller tumors one in her lungand the other in her spine. After a few more days & test she got a biopsy done and her diagnose came back on April 23 as Stage 4 Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma being a rare form of cancer of connective tissue.
Of course this news came as a surprise to turn our world upside down. Being in the room next to my entire family and her parents. Made me realize I had to be strong My aunt is like a sister to me. So then it hit me, that this was not just Jazlyn fighting we are all fighting this battle. And the only solution for this is our Lord.Our faith in him is the most powerful source for healing her.
And as for me, I promised myself that I would do anything for my little cousin and her family. So here I am! We were told that that this was going to be a lengthy process due to her treatment. Chemotherapy is taking place, while radiation will start soon. Due to all the time both parents spend in the hospital and being a family of five with one little brother Daniel (3) and big sister Melanie (10) it's been rough. Dedication to being with Jazlyn all the time and living in the hospital has caused lost wages. I just want to be able to do the most to help them. I know this will be a long and costly treatment ant recovering process.
This has to be one of the hardest and most draining situation any family could go through. No parent should have to hear this or family as a matter of fact. Please pray for our family daily and if you can contribute, anything you can to help fight with us. It's highly appreciated. Thank you for your prayers & contributions
