Please join us again this year for our 5th Annual “Jaxon Gives Back” to children in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Phoenix Children's Hospital. In past years, with your help, we've touched the lives of so many families who are currently spending their Christmas in the hospital – and we want to do that again this year!

Our Story:

In July 2016, at our 20-week ultrasound, we learned that our baby had a heart condition called transposition of the great arteries (TGA) and a large hole (VSD) between his left and right ventricle. In other words, our baby's pulmonary valve and aorta were switched. Jaxon was born on December 4, 2016. He underwent a complicated yet successful open-heart surgery on December 14, 2016, and was discharged from the hospital on December 23, 2016.

December 14, 2022, will mark six years since our 10-day-old newborn son had open-heart surgery. As we reflect, this event's impact on our lives is no less breathtaking today than it was then. We thank God daily for our beautiful and spirited son, Jaxon. We are thankful to our surgeon and fetal cardiologist, who guided us during a difficult time. We are grateful to all the nurses who held our hands through our journey of adversity. We are still overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from our families and the community. Our experience has changed what this time of year means to our family. We are overwhelmed with a sense of "paying it forward" to the families stuck in hospitals during Christmas with children that suffer from congenital heart conditions. Please join us in trying to bring a little Christmas Spirit to the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Phoenix Children's Hospital again this year.
