Hi,

My name is Elisa and my beautiful 5-year orange and white tabby, Jasper just had to have an emergency Cystotomy. It was $1,800 plus $100 for the follow up and $80 so far for the meds. The crazy thing is I have had insurance for Jasper and his sister Gypsy since they were kittens. Nationwide increased their monthly premium in November from $62 per month to over $160 per cat!! I could not believe it. That was crazy! So, naturally I canceled their policy and signed up with Spot. Jasper got sick exactly during the transition. It came on so suddenly.

But, nothing would stop me from giving him the best care possible.

Jasper is a force all his own and had me at hello. That sweet little face should have been my first clue that he would be a handful full of mischievousness. Jasper is so loyal and always at my side.

We love play time and he loves his variety of cushy beds and soft plush blankies everywhere.

I love both my babies dearly and would do anything for him and Gypsy!

He is recovering. However, he does still have problems straining, even after the Cystotomy. He is currently being treated with meds and regular follow-ups.

He is restricted to prescription wet and dry urinary formula food for the rest of his life. That is an expense all its own at $120 per bag and around $3.50 for every can of food. But, I will do anything the vet suggests to keep Jasper around for 15 more years.

I adopted my 2 babies from Cat Posse. Jasper's little face had me at hello. Sharon Clark is so dedicated to saving cats and had to start all over after losing her home in the Altadena fires. She managed to get every single cat out. It was a miracle! She is always looking for good homes for her precious cats that she saves.
