Jason Novelli to the TUF 22 Tryouts

The Goal:

I can literally say that I have put my own blood, sweat and tears into years of hard work. Today, I have an opportunity to pursue my Ultimate dream. The Ultimate Fighter tryouts are slated for next month and are just within grasp.   To accomplish this, I will need to travel to Las Vegas for interviews and tryouts. Balancing this with taking care of my family is a priority.

Background:

I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. My father was a high school wrestling coach and I grew up slamming and being slammed by my brothers on the wrestling mats at home. Then came boxing, and soon other fighting disciplines were weaved into my skill set. I moved to Washington a few years back in pursuit of a professional fighting career. I met a great girl in the process and we are raising our family together.

I have worked my entire adult life to be a professional fighter. I am undefeated as an MMA lightweight professional and know my time to surge ahead is now.



The Challenge:

When I considered using GoFundMe as a forum to help me get to these tryouts it was a bit of a struggle. Anyone that knows me knows I am not one to ask for help.  As I’ve reflected on my fighting career and all of my accomplishments and struggles something hit me. I have ALWAYS had the support of my family, teammates, coaches, and friends. This CHALLENGE was nothing new.
