The Warrior Princess Jannah (she named herself) was born in 2006 at 25wks weighing 1lb 8oz. She suffered brain hemorrhages on both sides of her brain resulting in permanent brain damage.
She was diagnosed with hydrocephalus and had a VP shunt placed into her brain to help drain the excess fluid. Within 4 years Jannah, has had 6 brain surgeries.
Through it all she has remained a Warrior Princess.
As the years went on there where more complications, numerous hospital stays and more diagnosis's to follow. She was diagnosed with Spinabifia & Cerebral Palsy in 2009 and then Epilepsy in 2011.
In 2011, Jannah experienced her 1st seizure. Later that day at the hospital they saw that the VP shunt was malfunctioning, once again. The doctors placed DUAL shunts, one on each side of her brain to ease the fluid pressure to the ventricles.
Words cannot express Jannah's strength.
The truth is she will always have it harder then others. At 8years old she is physically unable to play, climb, run, jump...etc as well as her peers. She often feels like the odd one, now she can see the difference between herself and other children. We believe it's starting to hurt her ego & self worth.
We have started this fund raiser to help Jannah & her family to find the best medical help there is.
Jannah, has memory loss due to her brain trauma & with every seizure it gets worse.
There are special devices & procedures available to help her complete easy tasks that people without illness take for granted. For example: putting on your own coat, walking up the stairs, taking a shower, getting into a vehicle..etc
Jannah & her mom are unlike anyone you will ever meet. The sacrifices that have been made are nothing compared to the next steps in Jannah's journey. Her mom is by her side every moment fully committed to Jannah.
They are in the hospital right now having extensive testing being done because Jannah suffered a very bad seizure yesterday morning as she was preparing to go to school.
