Hi, my name is Holly, and I’m the niece of Janice Wilkinson. She is my aunty.

Jenny has always been a Taree local.

My aunty Jenny went through the devastating 2021 floods, but the 2025 floods have been far worse — easily ten times more destructive. Just a week ago, she had the most beautiful home and garden. Now, everything has been torn apart.

The floodwaters swept through her house, shed, and cars, leaving behind devastation and heartbreak.

She has also lost a horse, 2 pony’s, Guinea pigs and all but one cow and chicken.

We’re incredibly grateful to the community who came together on Sunday to help us clean out the mud and broken furniture. Their support has meant so much. But as you can imagine, the financial impact is overwhelming, and we’re unsure whether she’ll be able to recover without help.

Sadly, nothing could be saved. My aunt has lost everything — furniture, carpeting, clothing, even the kitchen sink. The gyprock had to be removed, tiles are falling off the walls… it’s been truly heartbreaking.

All funds raised through GoFundMe will go directly toward helping my aunt rebuild her life — restoring the entire bottom level of her home, replacing gyprock, flooring, furniture, and clothing.

This house holds deep sentimental value. It belonged to my grandparents. Somehow, one precious photo of them survived — sitting just inches above where the floodwaters reached.
