Donation protected
Early in 2017, Janet Carter learned she was in kidney failure and that she would have to have her kidney replaced. Her son, Shawn Carter, is a match and a willing donor. Now the Ford/Carter family needs to raise $4,500 to meet their insurance deductible. The ideal time for this surgery would be December of this year. Please consider donating to this cause.
Message from Janet:
I am wanting to live without having to be hooked up to a machine cleaning my blood from impurities that my kidney won't do. I am having such a hard time knowing my body is not working like it's supposed to. I am 72 years old and my health has been good, but an illness went too long, and it caused me not to be able to hold food and water down. I finally realized I needed help and decided on February 14th, this year, to go to the hospital for help. I was there for 1 week and my Dr. Reid, my kidney doctor, let me know that your kidney can not function without water.
I am the mother of four wonderful kids that became four great adults and I have four beautiful grandkids I truly adore. I am also a great grandma, gg, five times. My son wants to be my donor.
My insurance is paying for most of the cost. I must pay $4, 500.00 which when she said it, it sounds so impossible my heart fell and tears started.
