Janell Crawford's Medical Assitance
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
My sister, Janell Crawford, was seriously injured as a passenger in an automobile accident on the night of May 20, 2016. She had two surgeries due to multiple injuries to her internal organs and a third spinal fusion surgery for her broken back. She spent two weeks at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville, NC. She then spent ten days at Care Partners Rehabilitation Hospital in Asheville before returning home to Augusta, GA. In Augusta, she is continuing her follow up care in outpatient rehab. At this point in time, our family has the concern that the recovery funding will not be sufficient to cover all of Janell’s out of pocket medical expenses, indirect medical expenses, and ongoing care throughout her life. Soon after the accident, my family and friends set up a bank account called, “Janell Crawford Medical Fund.” This fund will be open for a year, and then it might turn into a trust fund to provide for Janell’s future care if there is a need for long term funding. Many friends have asked us to set up a GoFundMe account to facilitate their ability to give to Janell to help with her medical expenses. Many said it was easier to give online instead of writing and sending a check. The donations to the Janell Crawford Medical Assistance GoFundMe account will be transferred into this “Janell Crawford Medical Fund.”
Janell desires to return to the job she had before the accident at the Nantahala Outdoor Center in North Carolina. Even if she is able to work in NOC Reservations by September of 2016 and be a raft guide by the summer of 2017, Janell could still face ongoing care throughout her life. I encourage you to prayerfully consider giving to help pay for Janell’s medical expenses.
