Cancer Fundraiser for Jane and Tiffany

Jane had a peaceful 3 month break from chemo and has just started back. Her quality of life has improved incredibly over the last several months when she underwent a (small) operation to have permanent drains installed in her lungs, sometimes making me her nurse; taking high doses of mistletoe and taking heavy duty bone builders to help build back what bone the cancer has eaten away. She's lost some height through compression fractures, but is in generally less pain today than she was a few months ago.

Although things are trending in the right direction Jane continues to attend countless appointments, spend hours in hospital and spend an incredible amount of money on making sure she is comfortable. She hopes to be well enough to return to work at some point in the near future.

I am continually awed by her grace and tenacity in living with cancer. She has decided what kind of relationship she wants with death. She is an incredible advocate and a kind friend to every other person with cancer out there. As much as I wish sometimes we weren't going through this, I love that I get to know this part of her.

As a family we face this challenge every new day with courage and strength. More than anything what gets the four of us through living with cancer in our home is our connection to one another. Fun, laughter and play breathe life into our space and our difficulty.

We ask for financial contributions, if folks are able, so that we can continue to prioritize togetherness. We can’t do that when we are overwhelmed by financial obligations.

We are so grateful for all the kind and generous support we have received to date. Our community is amazing and we love you all.
