Transplant Fund

The goal of this campain is to raise money for my daughter, Jamii Martin. Jamii is a Hemodialysis patient in end stage renal failure & is in desperate need of a kidney transplant. She has been on dialysis for 9 years, however in the past 6 months her overall health has rapidly & severely declined.  All of her doctors & specialists have advised us that she must receive a transplant because her body simply isn't strong enough to continue the dialysis treatments. My daughter Jamii is 36 years old & she is one of the most loving & giving persons I've ever known. She always thinks of others first & herself last. Her dream, & main goal in life, is to one day become a social worker so that she can help her fellow dialysis patients & also at-risk teens. She is extremely passionate about her advocacy of other people, but is as equally passionate about advocating & being a voice for rescue animals. Jamii's number one love in this world is her rescue dog, Tyson.

My daughter has never allowed dialysis treatments to prevent her from continuously helping others. She has dedicated herself to advocating for dialysis patients, working with/mentoring at-risk teens, & submersing herself in her studies. Jamii has continuosly volunteered for multiple juvenile centers/alternative schools for teenagers & recently graduated from the University of Central Florida.

Many years ago Jamii began volunteering for the National Kidney Foundation. She would tour schools with Rich Salick advocating for organ transplant & talking with all the students about life on dialysis. To date Jamie is still as passionate about volunteering her time with the NKF as she was when her dialysis journey first began. In 2014, the NKF even presented her with their "You Are Not Alone" award, recognizing
her for all her accomplishments despite dealing with the challenges dialysis brings.

All of Jamii's future goals are centered around helping those in need. She truly has dedicated herself & her life to positively impacting everyone around her. Words can't describe how proud I am that all of her hopes & dreams involve serving the needs of others.

It's devastating that her health has deteriorated so severely & kidney transplantation cannot wait. The problem is we do not have the money necessary to pay for the transplant surgery, the continued anti-rejection drugs & all the other medical necessities post-transplant. My prayers are that we are able to raise the necessary funds in time for her to receive this life-saving transplant, so she may regain her health & continue with all of her hard work. Without transplant it is only a matter of time before all of her goals & dreams will come to an end. She is literally running out of time on that dialysis machine.
