As we have tried to process this devastating loss, the one thing that kept coming to mind was creating a place where James’s children can one day see that even through his absence, their father’s life continued to make an impact. While nothing can ever change what has happened, our hope is to create something that supports their future and reminds them of how deeply their father was loved.

James lost his life in a senseless act of violence, leaving his children without their father and the community searching for ways to make sense of such a heartbreaking loss. In the midst of this tragedy, the only thing that felt meaningful was creating a place where they could one day see that, even in his absence, their father’s memory brought people together in love and support.

The funds raised here will be used to set up custodial accounts for each of James’s children, providing a foundation for their future and ensuring they feel the ongoing care and support of those who loved their father. A small portion may be used for his celebration of life. Your generosity will provide for their needs and remind them that James’s life continues to inspire kindness and unity.
