On March 31, Jake Dimond passed away at just 27 years old, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply, especially his parents, Sylinda & Clarence Dressel and Mike Dimond.
Jake was someone who brought light into the lives of the people around him. He had a contagious laugh, a sharp sense of humor, and a way of making others smile no matter what. He took pride in his work as a heavy equipment operator, loved the thrill of race cars, and found peace out fishing. Those are the moments and memories his family will hold onto forever.
Like many, Jake faced struggles as he grew into adulthood. Despite the challenges he carried, he will always be remembered for the good he brought into this world, the love he gave, and the potential everyone saw in him.
No parent should ever have to endure the loss of a child. The entire family is now facing unimaginable grief, along with the unexpected financial burden that comes with laying Jake to rest.
We are asking for support to help ease that burden during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward his celebration of life, cremation, and legal expenses, and supporting Jake’s family as they navigate life without him.
Thank you for your love, support, and for helping us honor Jake’s life. We will all miss him more than words can express.
A date for his celebration of life will be held on May 16 at 1:00pm at the Rapid City fairgrounds in the fine arts building.
