It was a gorgeous halloween day as Jacob Macfarlane went to work on his cousins South Jordan home when "Boom"!! An explosion had went of and blew him literally out of his shoes! As he started to piece together what had happened after hitting the ceiling and now back on the floor, he thought for sure his legs had been blown off. He then miraculously made his way up to the Laundry room to the garage screaming his legs were blown off, as neighbors began to rush to his aid he yelled "Don't come In"!! He wasn't sure if they were in danger or not. As he laid there assuming his legs had been blown off and his arms were hamburgered from the Shrapnel. In tremendous shock and on his death bed his blood pressure was 79 over 42, he luckily was life flighted to the University of Utah hospital where he under went surgery after surgery in hopes of saving his feet. After 2 weeks in the hospital and handful of surgery's later he's still here alive and optimistic about the outcome of the situation, being that he's thankful it was him and that no one else was involved because of the unknown amount of people that were in and out of that home they would've probably died. I took him in as his care taker as he remains in a wheelchair bed resting his legs awaiting his swelling to go down on his left foot so they can operate on it to try and save it from being amputated! Its indefinite on how long he"ll have to be in a wheelchair as we pray his left foot doesn't catch an infection. In the meantime he cant work & what money he had saved has dried up. Those who know Jacob is that he is to proud to ask for help let alone financial help Which is why im asking for him. With rent, truck payment, insurance, food and etc. he needs 2 months worth of bills however another bone got thrown in the mix where we are faced with having to be out of our home soon which then will be first months rent plus deposit so our goal were asking is 7k$ thats over estimating so if we could round up half that he'd be super stoked.
