About Us
We, The Jackson Family, are blessed to have 7 members. Raphael Daoud, Shantel, Sulaiman, Idris, Ibrahim, Asiyah, and Miriam. Sasha the cat also lives at the home. We homeschool, so our home is a place for living as well as for educating each member of our family.
A Trying Situation
Our house recently caught fire. My wife and children escaped, thankfully. Our home is very damaged and considered uninhabitable until it is repaired. Our cat was trapped inside and almost succumbed to smoke but the firefighters found her and were able to resuscitate her as well. We are all safe and in good spirits. Mom and Dad are working to keep a balanced environment so the children are not overwhelmed with being temporarily displaced. It is indeed a trying situation. Most of our belongings on the second floor were destroyed either by fire, or water. Despite the fact that our belongings are uninsured I understand that everything which was destroyed can eventually be replaced. Ultimately we are all grateful that everyone, even our cat escaped unharmed.
Gratitude
We would like to thank our family, neighbors and friends who are being very considerate with food, cards, cash, clothing, and moral support. The Red Cross has also given temporary assistance which we are using to get by for the time being.
Our goals and how you may help
At this point we are engaged in more long term recovery planning. We plan to move back in a soon as the repairs are complete. Until then our plan is to raise enough for:
(1) Extended hotel stay for the family. ($1,148)
3 weeks stay (Value Place Extended Stay)
(2) Travel funds for the children and their mother to stay with family in the likely event that repair time exceeds extended hotel stay time.
Allegiant Air (6 Round Trip fares) Lexington to Sanford
($1,041)
(3) The insurance deductible for house repairs.
Shelter home Ins. ($1,000)
I have mentioned the companies by name in the event that there is anyone associated with the companies (or similar companies) that may be able to provide direct assistance.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope everyone who is able to assist us or willing to pray for our assistance receives the same support should a test ever befall them.
Sincerely
The Jackson family.
