Day by Day! UPDATE on behalf of Guild 02/12/22
Jack is being released from ICU today! However, there are no beds in the hospital due to how many kids have Covid. So, they are sending him home knowing Guild is trained and trying to find a night nurse, starting tonight.
Guild is beyond thankful for your outpouring of support. Now that his boy is coming home, he feels uncomfortable continuing the fundraising. The amount given to date will help him recover from the past six weeks. He will get online and set up the funds transfer as soon as possible. Until then, the GoFundMe account will be open; and closed upon transfer.
He is exhausted, going on no sleep trying to get the medical equipment transferred, and will be busy getting Jack settled in at home. He will resurface soon to post.
The food drive/Meal Train account has been closed.
What a difference a day makes! Thank you again for your prayers, kind thoughts, food, and financial support.

A GoFundMe was created to impact the daily lives of the Riley Family. https://gofund.me/6c610432
Guild’s youngest son Jack (14) sleeps on a respirator, so when he contracted Covid, he went into yet another fight for his life. He requires 24/7 care with the help of a nurse on regular days, so this hospital stay hits the wallet even harder. He has been in the hospital for six weeks now, with an uncertain release date.
Your contribution will affect Guild’s life by helping to pay for medical expenses, gas, tolls, parking, food, electric bills, and grocery costs- to feed Reid, his 16y/o eldest who works up a big appetite while playing great soccer!
And, on the days when Jack has setbacks in his healing journey, a hotel room, so Guild does not have to sleep in his van or make the 50-mile round trip drive. He is also maintaining his job, so the days are long & exhausting.
If you don’t know Guild, he is a GREAT FATHER who looks after Jack’s needs in an exceptional manner. With a special needs child, you can only imagine the additional sacrifices of Fatherhood. If you know Guild, we’d all say he is a kind soul and one of the best to come from Plano, TX.
I know everybody’s financial situation is different. I understand if you're not able to donate. Although donations are appreciated, you can also make a big difference by sharing this fundraiser with your network sending links via social media, or for those not on Facebook via Text or Email. Your generosity makes a huge difference in this dedicated Father’s life. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Lastly, the food drive on the Meal Train website is still active- if you’d prefer to show off your cooking skills;) https://mealtrain.com/d8e1gz I am sending many blessings to anyone reading this and a heartfelt thank you from the Riley Family.
Peace to You- from Guild’s friend, Kelli Christine :)
