GOFUNDME #JUSTICE4COURTNEY CAMPAIGN’S PURPOSE IS TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT THE SERIOUSNESS OF BULLYING, HARRASSMENT, AND DEATH THREATS.

DEVASTATED BY THE SENSELESS TRAGIC ATTACK OF MY DAUGHTER, COURTNEY CURTISIA SMITH, ON HER BEHALF AND ON BEHALF OF OTHER VICTIMS LIKE HER; I HAVE STARTED A CAMPAIGN CALLED #JUSTICE4COURTNEY TO TAKE MY VOICE AND RAISE AWARENESS IN OUR COMMUNITIES, SCHOOLS, POLICE DEPARTMENTS, COURTS AND GOVERNMENT ENTITIES THAT; AS THE PROTECTORS OF OUR CHILDREN; THEY MUST TAKE BULLYING, HARRASSMENT, AND DEATH THREATS SERIOUSLY AND BE MORE PROACTIVE FOR THE VICTIMS, BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE.

Curtisia Courtney Smith at age 26 was senselessly gunned down in cold blood on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Z Food Meat Market, North of West Boynton Beach Blvd. in Boynton Beach, Florida 33435.  Courtney had regularly frequented this store.  Courtney was transported to Delray Medical Center where she fought vigorously for her life.  She had been relentlessly bullied over the months leading up to the organized targeted shooting.  The tormentors attacked her on social media, constantly stalked her, made death threats, and vandalized her apartment on several occasion before and after her attack.  Courtney repeatedly and desperately pleaded to the Courts and Police Department for help and protection.

While she was at the Z Food Meat Market that evening, an individual, out of the crowd of people, called her over and shot her point blank, several times.  Although the parking lot was unusually crowded at that time, no one else was injured. When the ambulance personnel finally arrived, they took immediate life saving measures and she arrived at the Delray Medical Center alive and conscious.  However, despite immediate emergency care, and other lifesaving efforts by the hospital, my beautiful daughter, Curtisia Courtney Smith, succumbed to her gun shots wounds on, Monday, April 17, 2017 … Her last words I remembered her mouthing to me while in and out of her sedations were, “Mommy I love you ... please help me get justice!  I know who shot me.”  However, due to instructions from police authorities, she was never allowed to tell me who shot her.

Curtisia Courtney Smith was an inspiring young photographer, who had a photography piece published in Buzz Magazine.  Courtney was the very proud owner of Foreign Looks (photography company).  She also loved to cook for everyone!  It was this love and her entrepreneur spirit; which motivated her to sell dinners/meals.  It was also this same LOVE of others; which motivated her to give any dinners she didn't sale to the homeless, destitute, and anyone in need; including family and friends.  Courtney would literally give you her very last and would do anything for you, if/when she could.  Courtney was the most caring, sensitive, and compassionate daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend you could ever wish for.  She was a talented role model, a cherished employee at the Grandma Sarah & Dan’s Daycare, and extremely devoted to her family and religion.  She was also in the process of completing her degree in Psychology.  Courtney simply loved life.

She was so driven and passionate; that her death leaves so much promise unfulfilled.  Our family is devastated by this senseless and tragic attack! We are seeking your support in our endeavors in successfully fulfilling this Campaign to get justice for all victims; as well as their families; of bullying, harassment, and death threats.   Please help us get the word out, #JUSTICE4COURTNEY
