To help defray costs for me to travel to Des Moines, IA to compete in the HyVee Triathlon Championships.

On August 7th I raced in the NYC Olympic Distance Triathlon as a para-triathlete along with over 3100 other triathletes.  I completed the race in a time of 3:51:13 which was a personal best time for me for that distance.

I was later contacted by the organizers of the HyVee Triathlon and was told that I had earned a spot to race in the 5150 US Championships over this coming Labor Day Weekend.

I started racing in triathlon in 2009 and have now completed 15 triathlons including 2 Olympic Distance races and a 1/2 Ironman distance race.  I race in triathlon for myself but also so that others can see that you should not limit yourself based upon preconceived physical barriers. 

As far as I know, I am the only dwarf para-triathlete and I hope to continue racing and training so that I will be able to race at the Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2016.

I would be greatly appreciative of any size donation you can give and I also totally understand if you feel your money would be better suited for a more charitable fund.  If you are unable to contribute financially, I hope I would be able to count on your moral support.
