My name is Juliette Pluviose-Philip and I have been selected to participate in the 2014-2015 Debutante and Cotillion Program in Albany, NY
This program’s goal is to provide high school young ladies(grades 10-12) with the tools necessary to be productive leaders locally and globally. Through participation in workshops and activities throughout the season, I will learn the value of community service, fundraising, public speaking, technology, financial and physical health, and social and professional etiquette. Additionally, I will participate in the culminating event which will be a debutante ball as my formal introduction into society.
On a personal note, I am a sophomore at Albany High School. My favorite subjects are math and science. At AHS, I am a member of the basketball, volleyball, and track and field teams. I earn straight A’s while challenging myself in honors and AP classes. I am a member of the Model UN, Key Club, and French Club. I attend St. Joan of Arc Black Catholic Apostolate church and actively participate in the Westminster Presbyterian Church youth group. I enjoy spreading faith and living in God’s image through participating in fulfilling mission trips with my peers as well as being an active citizen through community service in outreach shelters, food pantries and other community programs.
I enjoy travelling, reading, and playing sports. I also enjoy playing the trumpet and am a member of the Empire State Youth Orchestra Wind Ensemble along with the Albany Marching Falcons and my school’s ensemble.
My future plans are to attend medical school and study to become a trauma surgeon. Upon high school graduation, my top choices for college include Columbia University and Princeton University.
Proceeds will help to promote the chapter's principles of sisterhood, scholarship, community service and leadership.
I look forward to this debutante season and appreciate any and all donations which are tax deductible.
