Purple Reign A Cappella is a brand-new, student-led a cappella group founded at James Madison University with one bold vision: to bring JMU’s talent, discipline, and creativity to the Intercollegiate Championship of A Cappella (ICCA) stage. Our ensemble is built around musical excellence, intentional preparation, and a shared commitment to growing as competitive performers and leaders.
As a newly established organization, we are in an exciting and formative stage: shaping our sound, building our repertoire, and laying the foundation for a competitive future. Preparing for ICCAs requires significant investment in music, preparation, and production, and your support helps turn our ambition into reality.
Funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward essential expenses that allow Purple Reign to grow and compete, including:
- Competition entry fees
- Our Annual Set Showcase sound and assocuated fees
- Travel costs for performances and competitions
- General organizational needs, such as professional sound/recording, arrangements, equipment, and operational costs
Unlike many established collegiate groups, we are starting without a financial cushion. Every dollar raised helps ensure that cost is not a barrier to artistic excellence or student participation. Your contribution directly supports student musicians who are dedicating countless hours to rehearsals, performances, and representing our university with pride and professionalism.
