Help a single Mother with funeral & medical bills

*Juliette passed away and is survived by her twin Brother Justice. Details of everything is located in the “update” section.*

Hey there, Friends and Family.

I created this fundraiser for my sister Bobbi Lee whom recently had boy-girl preemie twin babies. Early April at only 33 weeks pregnant she went into labor and drove herself to Holy Cross Hospital as directed by nurses/drs because a hospital with a Level 3 NICU unit was necessary once the babies did arrive. When she reached the hospital she was rushed to the OR to have an emergency C-section and within 30 mins of arriving she was on the OR table in order to save both babies and Mom. She welcomed both preemie babies into the world and they were immediately transferred to the NICU due to complications. Upon delivery it was noticed one of the babies had several life threatening conditions and required immediate transportation to Children’s National Hospital in DC, a level 4 NICU for an emergency surgical repair of a blocked bowel aka jejunal atresia. Within 24 hours of being born 15cm’s of her small intestines were removed due to necrosed tissue. A stoma and ostomy has been placed temporarily(hopefully) and will require further surgery in the weeks/months to come once baby is more stable. Before transport to Children’s National, both babies were blessed and baptized by a Catholic priest right in the NICU at Holy Cross Hospital.

So at that point my sister was dealing with two babies in the NICU at two different hospitals and Mom was not able to visit her children due to her own life threatening medical complications. After much care she was released from the hospital and with the help of her sister was able to get home and travel back and forth to both Hospitals. Shortly after her release the baby being cared for at Holy Crosses NICU was also cleared to go home and the OK was given for him to visit his sister at Children’s with Mom, but only during normal visiting hours of 9am/9pm.

While at Children’s recovering from major surgery, her baby has been putting up the fight of a lifetime with many ups and downs along the way. In addition with the baby not being stable there have been many tests, procedures, scans, new abnormalities/complications that have been found, a blood transfusion and it’s really an erratic battle currently. It looks like it’s going to be a long road ahead for this instant little family. It has and will continue to be very physically, emotionally and financially draining on my sister and her twins. Taking care of one newborn preemie baby at home alone is already a tiring task but having a second child who’s health status is constantly unstable and needs round the clock attention/care is extremely exhausting especially while doing this on her own. When she is unable to make it due to doctors appointment’s for herself and the other baby I try to visit at the hospital on those days. But it is very important to have Mom and twin sibling present as often/long as possible, it helps both babies stay healthy and thrive, as well as being a comfort to Mom during this tumultuous time.

Momma has been spending most of her waking hours with her babies in the NICU, missing work and therefore pay. She will stay with the babies in the NICU full-time. This change in income, in addition to the already surmounting medical bills coming in and the unknown current and future care needs, are why I am reaching out for help. Your support could go a long way in helping to alleviate the unimaginable stress this little family is going through. Every little bit helps.

Bobbi Lee is humbled by the incredible amount of love and support they have already received. Your prayers are greatly appreciated, and for those of you asking how you can help, this is the best way that we could think of for you to do so. Thank you for caring. Please share this link with anyone who might wish to help.

If you have any questions please contact me, her sister Victoria Grace as Mom needs to focus all her time and attention on her two precious angels.
