Hello friends and family!
My parents (Pastor Joel and Marina) would never ask (and don't know) but after years and years (16 to be exact) of 2 heart trasnplants and hundreds of proceedures in between...it has taken a toll.
Most recently, my mom has been back at Stanford Hospital for a fever that has no known origin yet. She is now on day 7. This year, our family will spend Christmas at Stanford to be with mom.
I have never heard my dad complain once. He has stayed by my mom's side, and with being a pastor, that means driving back and forth from Salinas to Stanford and Stanford to Salinas, staying in my moms room when possible, sometimes the lobby and even his car. Graciously, we have had overwhelming support from amazing friends and family who have covered nights stay at a nearby hotel when they have had days worth of proceedures.
Although we don't understand why this has to be...I'm encouraged that even in the midst of pain, lack of sleep, trails and financial strain...they never fail to find ways to help, give and encourage others. I've seen my dad countless times pray for the person in the room next door and encourage other families in the waiting room.
These funds will help aid travel and medical expenses, and monthly household expenses so that all my mom has to worry about it getting well and all my dad has to worry about is being her support and encourager.
We trust God is in control and that His Word is true...all things work together for good for those who love Him.
These two servants of God, love Him with all their hearts.
If you have been encourged by their life, their story, ministry or friendship, consider blessing them. Most importantly, please pray for healing over my mom. We ask that you also pray for my dad and the rest of our family.
Feel free to leave a comment with a word of encouragement, your favorite scripture or simple thought for them to read.
Thank you so much and may God bless you and your family.

UPDATE 12/26
Mom was released today after 9 days at Stanford. THANK YOU all for your prayers. Please continue to pray for her. Doctors never nailed down the cause of her fevers. We trust that it won't be back to attack her body. Because she's been battling a lung infection for about 5 years, treatment continues 3 times a week. Routine visits to Stanford will also continue. It is our prayer that God will restore her health completely. We are so grateful. that though all of this, God has allowed us to experience Him...through many of you, through meeting other patients, being able to pray for them and some of them coming to know Christ a their Lord and Savioir. God is good. We continue to trust Him. We continue to praise Him.
