UPDATE: Hello! Once again I and the other members of this fundraising team would like to extend our greetings and gratitude to all of Je and Chris' supporters in this terrible time in their life, for all the thoughtful donations for Je (Ginger Nepomuceno Cacnio) and her family in light of her husband Chris' sudden passing.
The main beneficiary of this fundraiser is Je (Ginger Nepomuceno Cacnio). She authorizes me, Chip Payos (Florante Payos) to withdraw the funds collected, on her behalf and deliver the money to them outside of GoFundMe. The funds are intended for Je, the family's expenses, medical and funeral and other personal funds that the family and Chris' children might still need at this time and in the future.

On Wednesday, April 21, 2021, longtime community activist, cultural steward, teacher, mentor, Youth Development Practitioner & Guro under the Filipino-Kali Eskrima Academy in Chicago, CHRISTOPHER DIÑO, suffered his second and final stroke, leaving behind his wife Ginger "Je" Nepomuceno, 4 beloved children, Isabella, Uma, Kiel & Elyas, sister Crystle and parents Elisa Revilla Diño and Benjamin Cueto Diño.
Christopher Diño lived and died as an honorable warrior. Committed to supporting, encouraging and mentoring those around him, he inspired and empowered so many over multiple decades, leaving behind a huge hole in the heart of many communities, most especially to his family, to whom he was a dedicated, loving father and committed husband.
He and his life partner, Je, have both done so much to support our communities over the years without ever asking for anything in return. While we are still reeling from the shock of such sudden loss, this is our chance to support them in return.
While we know that we cannot bring back this amazing human, we hope that we can at least assist the grieving family and in this small way, help ease some of the pain that Chris and Je's family are experiencing and honor the beautiful work that Chris did during his short but full life...to send back waves of gratitude for the ripple effects of healing that continue to spread through our communities because of him.
