Jerome D Simpson Memorial Fund

The man, the myth, the legend, world-renown Jerome “JD” Simpson, “Grampy” to his munchkins, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 5th, 2021 in Seligman, AZ.  A devout Christian, JD was also a Franciscan Friar, Navy Veteran, and a beautiful human. In addition to a loving wife, he had 3 children, and 8 great children with one on the way. He loved spending time talking about the Bible and worked hard to provide for his family and veterans in need. His prayers to “walk again” were answered as he stepped onto streets of gold.  

President and Co-Founder of a non-profit, Three Hots and a Cot , JD assisted hundreds of veterans transition into modern society and gain their independence. He lived the motto, “Leave no man behind.”. He’s helped and provided for so many people in need, and continued the non-profits initiative out west to Arizona. With JD’s passing, we’re returning him to Birmingham, AL to celebrate his life surrounded by friends and family.
