This summer I will be traveling with the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) on a trip that will allow me to give back to the Jewish communities of Athens, Greece and Sofia, Bulgaria. I will travel with other young professionals from around the globe gaining unique insight into the challenges and opportunities facing these Jewish communities and understand how they continue to function in an environment of economic instability.
Tikkun Olam, which is Hebrew for repairing the world, is a key value in Judaism and is a major reason why I am so passionate about this trip. As people, we have a responsibility to give back to others in our own communities, as well as community’s afar.
While on this trip I will have the opportunity to engage with these historic and dynamic communities, take part in hands-on service projects that meet the communities' needs and exchange with unique Jewish communities in the Balkans.

In order for me to embark on this amazing journey, I need to raise $3,800 to cover trip costs. This includes flight fees, local transportation, meals, hotel accommodations, tours and medical insurance. I have already brought in $1,500, which leaves $2,300 more to raise.
No amount is too small and I will be eternally grateful for any donation.
Those that donate will not only receive good karma, but they will also get a handwritten thank you note and a FREE subscription to my daily travel log which will include pictures and funny anecdotes from my trip.
I can’t do this without your support and I thank you so much for your time and consideration.
Thanks and take care,
