Hi! I'm Izzy Cook, and this year I’ve swapped my trike for speed as I take on my first season in Fab-Racing! I ride a minibike, also known as a minimoto – think tiny motorbike, big noise, and even bigger fun. It’s basically the most fun you can have without getting told off for wheelies in the garden.

Racing is my absolute favourite thing to do. It's better than chips. And I really love chips.

Right now, the Bank of Mum and Dad is funding most of it. My mum is my one-woman pit crew – she drives, fixes, fuels, and somehow still remembers snacks. She’s basically a superhero with a spanner. My dad’s role? Let’s just say the cider budget is more of a bribery fund to keep him sponsoring the dream.

I’ve set a target of £1600, which covers 8 rounds of racing at £200 per round (£50 for Friday practice and £150 for the weekend). This doesn’t include tyres, fuel, the occasional crash repair, or earplugs for when I won’t stop talking about bikes.

Every little bit – no matter how big or small – would mean the world and will go directly towards keeping me doing what I love (and giving Mum a solid excuse to spend her weekends at racetracks with questionable tea).
