Support Marcello "Cello" Purnell During His Health Journey
About a year ago, our dear friend Marcello Purnell, affectionately known as "Cello," began experiencing unexpected weight loss. After medical examinations, doctors discovered a cyst on his pancreas. Since then, Cello has faced numerous hospital visits, medical tests, and persistent pain.
Most recently, Cello has been hospitalized for over two weeks, even spending Thanksgiving in the hospital. As we approach the holiday season, let’s rally together to ensure that Cello and his family can focus on his recovery without the stress of financial burdens.
This fundraiser is organized by Brad Furby, President of the Niner Empire of Charlotte and also his little bro. As many of you know, Cello is a one-of-a-kind guy with a heart of gold. His energy is contagious, and his ability to bring people together is unmatched—he could make friends with a rock!
If you’ve ever attended a 49ers game, chances are you’ve seen or felt Cello's big personality and unforgettable smile. Right now, the Niner Empire family—and everyone who loves him—misses seeing him in action.
Cello is being cared for at home by his loving girlfriend, Drika, and his two beautiful daughters, Jaia and Maci. A special shout out to his little brother David Purnell, for being his brothers keeper. Let’s come together to give this amazing family the gift of a stress-free holiday season. Your support will go toward medical expenses, household needs, and helping Cello and his family create special holiday memories during this challenging time.
**Let’s show Cello the same love and energy he’s always given us!** Every little bit counts, whether it's a donation or simply sharing this campaign with others.
Thank you for your kindness and support. Together, we can make a difference and remind Cello how much he is loved and appreciated.
Go Cello, and Go Niners!
