Asking for charitable donations for a good cause

Hi!

My name is Maria J. and my husband's name is Samuel. We are itinerant missionaries working here in Youngstown and other parts of Ohio as well as PA. Our work consists of spiritual guidance to people that need an answer to their suffering via talking with them as well as doing many talks in different churches and reaching out to different people in the neighborhoods to speak about the meaning of life. Many years ago somebody did this for us and that is why we decided to do this work full time even though it required for us to leave our jobs and family (my husband was an architect in NYC and I was an art history student) to become missionaries. We do not charge for our services nor do we ask for financial support to the government or any entities.

We have been invited to partake in a pilgrimage for around 10,000 youths of the United States to Israel in July 2022. This pilgrimage will help youths over all the country to come out of their environment and experience happiness and get answers to issues of life. Our role in this pilgrimage would be to accompany 50 of these young people and be there for their support. This work is for us a great source of joy and a very important mission, specially after seeing the very many repercussions that COVID has brought to everyone (mentally and spiritually as well as in some cases the physical loss of family and friends).

We are reaching out to ask for a donation to be able to pay for both my husband and I. We will be going for 15 days and the cost of this is $3,500 per person. We are setting the goal at 8,000 so we can pay GoFundMe's fee aswell. We have 4 small children and do missionary work full time so it has been impossible to raise the funds. Even though we are not used to asking for money and it is a difficult thing for us to do, this occasion requires us to do so as we are getting closer to July and we haven't been able to put together the amount that we would need to attend this important event. If you would be so kind to donate anything at all to this cause it would be greatly appreciated.
