Isabelle Travers Wilkins was a beloved lifelong resident of Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was a loving mother, devoted friend, and remembered by all for her unfailing dedication to caring for others. She touched countless lives through her nursing, where she worked in several capacities from critical care of post operative patients to visiting elderly patients in their homes.
Isabelle tragically took her own life on January 15th, 2015.
In her memory, her family has decided to establish a nursing scholarship at Tidewater Community College, where Isabelle studied and earned her nursing degree. The scholarship will be based on financial need and academic merit. The minimum amount to begin an endowment for a scholarship is $30,000. An endowment will allow the school to provide this scholarship for decades to come, to help students who, like Isabelle, have a passion for nursing.
