Hello, We are GIARDINO di DELIZIE, a women early music ensemble specilizing in Baroque Roman and Polish music and based in Rome in Italy. As women musicians we noticed that instrumental music composed by women composers still needs to be diffused and recorded with more philological and female approach. Therefore, we decided to record the complete Triosonatas by Isabella Leonarda, Italian Baroque composer. We hope that our project will find interest among all of you who love a good music and who would like to help to promote this still little known part of the musical culture around the world. All donations will be rewarded with the gifts listed below. Support our project and become a mecenate of music.

Citando un’intervista allo psichiatra Massimo Fagioli pubblicata su Il Sogno della Farfalla di Gennaio 2020:” La differente funzione biologica è stata, fin dai tempi antichi, alla base della divisione dei ruoli. La donna sarebbe il sesso debole. La cultura ha costruito su una diversità biologica una gerarchia sociale. Quello che conta per il Pater Familias è la funzione biologica della procreazione nella donna... Ma con questo pensiero alla donna non si riconosce un’identità umana di donna, per l’appunto. Per questo potrà essere considerata buona, cara, importante, ma non avrà un’identità e dunque non avrà libertà...
Con questo nostro CD vogliamo dare una ventata di femminile vitalità che serva, tra l’altro, a sollevare la sottile nube di polvere sotto la quale nei secoli sono non diciamo scomparse, ma certamente celate alla vista dei più delle compositrici che, a nostro giudizio, avrebbero meritato una maggiore attenzione da parte della critica e del pubblico degli amanti della buona musica.
