Isaac was recently nominated to the Junior National Young Leaders Conference by one of his teachers and we want him to take full advantage of this opportunity. The conference will take place in Washington, DC this summer.
Those of you who know Isaac know that he is a very intelligent student, who works hard in school and excels in his gifted classes, maintaining a 4.0 grade point average while also competing in sports and other interests. He has been a member of the Honor Roll program for all three years of middle school. It is because of his academic excellence and strong leadership potential that Isaac was invited to attend the conference.
In attending this conference, Isaac will be better prepared for success through high school, college and a career. This conference will teach and develop leadership and communication skills and allow for Isaac to participate in the creation of the “Voices of Change” an experience that will help to create positive change within his school and community.
We have begun the process for a scholarship to help with funding this trip but the information within the application states that very few are accepted and many do not cover the entire cost for the week long program. We are seeking help from our family, friends and community to raise money for Isaac to attend. Our goal is to raise $2800.00 which will allow for the travel to and from DC, housing and meals while there, along with all events included in the program such as interactive workshops, historical site visits and presentations from distinguished speakers. This is a once in a lifetime type of educational experience that we are beyond proud for him to be invited to and want for him to attend.
We would sincerely appreciate your support and any donation you can make by February 25, 2019 in order to meet the deadline of March 1, 2019 for enrollment. Thank you so very much in advance!
