Five weeks ago, my puppy Iris broke both of the bones in her left leg and we immediately got surgery the next day. Since the surgery however, we’ve visited 11 times, costing me about 20 000SEK (2200 USD), with my insurance covering 60 000SEK (6788 USD).
After making our 12th visit today, we got some very bad news. Iris’ condition has worsened, her leg is twisted 90 degrees and she needs another surgery. The problem is that I am out of insurance money, and the first operation will cost me about 38 000SEK (4299 USD).
