Help Me Reimagine Agriculture in The Bahamas

Hi, I’m Jade! Farming has been a part of my life since 2012, and over the years, I’ve worked with different types of farms—conventional, hydroponic, and mixed. But what truly drives me is my passion for people and agriculture. I believe that food is more than just what we eat—it connects us to the land, to our health, and to each other.

South Eleuthera has a deep agricultural history, and I often think about what its future could look like. What if we could reimagine and reshape our food system into one that is sustainable, resilient, and truly benefits our communities? That’s why I’m always learning, growing, and looking for ways to bring solutions back home.

I’ve been selected to participate in the CANOPY Leadership in Sustainable Agriculture Program, created by Jean-Martin Fortier and The Market Gardener Institute. This program will teach me innovative, regenerative farming techniques that can help small farms like ours not just survive—but thrive.

This is an opportunity of a lifetime, but I need help getting there. The cost is $7000 and I’m asking for your support to make this happen. Every donation, big or small, helps bring me one step closer to learning the skills that can transform farming in Eleuthera.
