Interchange Food Pantry Healthy Food Fund

The Interchange Food Pantry needs your financial support to provide healthy food for our guests struggling with food insecurity.

Our goal is to raise $30,000 to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from wholesale produce companies in Milwaukee.

Due to the pandemic, our past suppliers are limited in providing us free or at low-cost, fruits, and vegetables.

Part of being a compassionate food pantry is to provide healthy food for our guests and their family.

Help us with purchasing apples, oranges, bananas, pears, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, peppers, onions, and potatoes.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a public health and economic crisis in Milwaukee.

The Interchange Food Pantry has seen a significant increase in the number of people experiencing food insecurity for the first time.

From the end of March, when the stay at home orders went into effect, through November,
Interchange Food Pantry has served 26,694 guests, a 92% increase from the previous year.

                                                                                                                       Guests Served 2018 - 2020

Why give to the Interchange Food Pantry?

Since 1971, Interchange Food Pantry (IFP) has provided a compassionate and resourceful food program for people experiencing food insecurity in Milwaukee. The pantry is located inside the Village Church, 130 E. Juneau Avenue, Milwaukee.

There is no wrong zip-code at Interchange; we are one of a handful of Milwaukee food pantries that serve all who enter our doors.

We take pride in being a compassionate and healthy food pantry, filled with fresh fruits and vegetables, various meats, dairy items, pasta and rice, and a little bit of comfort food such as pizza.

We need your help in purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables. In the past, most of our produce was free; things have changed since the pandemic, and we now buy the majority of our produce from wholesale produce companies. Our goal for 2021 is to raise $30,000 to help our guests maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Last but not least, thank you to our past donors and welcome to our new supporters.

May your Holidays be safe!
