This time of year, exiting our long off-season, we would be underway preparing for the Inn’s busiest time of year, summer. Enter the "new normal" of Covid-19 and our ramping up of business has come to an excruciating halt. With no end in sight, and even optimistic predictions of people feeling safe out in public, we are questioning our survival. The charm you may know and love of us being far off the beaten path has always been a bonus but in today's unique and trying times it is almost a negative in terms of seeing guests both old and new.
Our serene and beautiful area is networked with surrounding sleep away camps, nearby wedding venues, Delaware River enthusiasts, and outdoor recreational tourism. Our community, local mom and pop businesses, and the Inn's family reunions and large onsite functions have seen drastically reduced, have delayed opening or even worse have chosen not to operate at all this summer season.
We need your help to survive through an entire year without a productive summer season and are reaching out for financial support to keep the inn from shuttering along with so many other small family owned businesses.
Your donation(s) will be used first and foremost to pay essential kitchen/restaurant/housekeeping staff that are crucial to quality service and our local economy, then to pay fixed expenses and companies that deliver goods and/or services, and as needed, repairs/general upkeep for the year while we do our best to survive during this time.
We look forward to welcoming you -- our family, back to the Inn when restrictions have eased, with peace of mind and open arms. The Inn along with our local neighbors are appreciative and grateful for your support and assistance during this historic time.
