I want to show the world that with perseverance and inner strength, that one can fight through adversity and emerge victorious .
My story is a long one so I will keep it short . I started Judo at the age of 10 and until 16 I had great success as a junior Judo player. I left home at 16, had a baby at 18 and my Judo career had to be put on hold. It was only when I turned 23 that I was in a positon to start my passion again. I started teaching Judo to young children and trained with the top Judo Players in the UK - well on my way to competing once again. But then everything came to an abrupt halt when my right biceps tendon became inflamed and my surgeon told me if I were to train any further, it would rupture and that would be the end of any competive Judo career.
An Arthroscopy and Tenodesis/bicep tendon repair/relocation would need to be performed. My surgeon, the only one who can be trusted to do this surgery properly (he does all the professional rugby and judo players) only works privately, so I must raise the money for the surgery.
Please help me raise £4,000 so I can have my shoulder repaired and continue striving towards my dreams.
