Avery, the joy of her mom’s life, and the heart of our family’s future.
On October 31st, Abigail “Abbey” Hartmann passed away, leaving behind her 9-year-old daughter, Avery. Abbey was a kind and caring person who wanted to make sure others didn’t have to go through the struggles she experienced in life. Her greatest joy was Avery — the center of her world and the person she loved most.
Avery is a sweet and thoughtful young girl who loves crafts, stuffed animals, and keeping things neat and organized. She has already faced more loss than any child should. Two years ago, we lost our dad in a motorcycle accident, and after that, my brother and I became Avery’s guardians.
In honor of Abbey, her family wishes that any memorial donations be directed to a fund for Avery’s future. Contributions will help support Avery as she grows — whether that’s toward her education, her first car, or a home of her own one day.
Thank you for showing love and support for Avery during this difficult time.
— Organized by Brandon Locey, Avery’s older brother and guardian
