In memoriam of Miski Abdi

This past Sunday, the world woke up a little less bright.

This past Sunday, we lost a shining light – Our Miski.

As news spread of her passing, we’ve heard from so many people how Miski touched their lives. Some have said they will take more pictures in this life, others how they will hold their loved ones a little more closely.

One thing that holds true across all of these conversations is that Miski left us with an indescribable legacy. She has inspired us all to be a little more positive, a little more generous, and a little more selfless. Knowing her was truly a gift, and we’ve learned over the past couple days that it was a gift held by many.

Whether you were a close friend, or simply an acquaintance, we can all agree Miski was someone special. She was sunshine. She was a true friend, confidant, and sister to all. She gave everything of herself to every aspect of her life, whether it be at work, with her friends, or her family. Love was felt and known by all who knew her.

Her loss has sent ripples through our community, and there are no words to describe the heartbreak we’re all feeling. To Miski’s family, friends, St. Louis family, and Jamie’s family, know that we have gained a beautiful guardian angel.

By setting up this GoFundMe, we hope to ease some of the pain Miski’s family is feeling, and to assist in any costs incurred by losing our dear friend.
