In Loving Memory of Derek Hernandez

Honoring the life of Derek Hernandez.

Our hearts are broken by the sudden loss of Derek, who passed on February 15, 2025.

He was a loving son, brother, uncle, best friend, and mentor who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Those who knew Derek will remember him for his infectious smile, kind loving heart, sense of humor, grit, perseverance and faith.

Derek had a way of encouraging others to be great in the most lighthearted loving way. I remember all the times that he would send a message, just to check in, he called it a “wellness check”, along with a funny meme. The simplicity of his approach made you feel his love and support. He truly lived up to his mission to be of service to others in so many ways.
