In loving memory Javier Escamilla

Javier Escamilla was a hardworking man, a dutiful husband, and a loving father. It was Saturday, November 16 when he passed, surrounded by those who knew him, and those who loved him.

We are only a few people included in that pool of people: his children, and his wife. His warm soul touched so many others, and his endless efforts affected everyone around him. He was a perfect example of the idea “work hard, come home, sleep well.” Those who knew him knew that he made work seem so easy, and made being with him so fun. We relied on his advice, his strength, his wisdom, and his generosity, all of which he had no limit of. For his children especially, the world and everything in it seemed possible, only if you could reach for it. He never denied us our hopes and dreams.

Now that he has passed, we feel more lost than ever. The shining light in our lives that promised us safety, health, and happiness, has now faded, and we’re left struggling in the dark to pick up the pieces he left for us. Bills, debts and expenses have shown up more than we can keep up with, and they continue to rise while we can barely put together our thoughts in our grieving. He made everything seem so easy when he was with us, but now without him we struggle to do the same thing he did daily.

We quietly, humbly ask anyone and everyone who has known him for their support in our hour of need, and moment of vulnerability. He was a man who gave a lot and gave frequently, only expecting the best of those he helped. We can’t ask for anything more than a fraction of what he gave, but any amount helps, from bits of change to whole donations that can help lift off this almost impossible burden put on our shoulders. If our father meant anything to you, if he ever made you laugh or smile, if he ever shared a drink with you or gave you a hug, if he ever made you feel welcome or even loved, then all we ask is if you could offer anything you’re willing, knowing that it will go directly to his funeral costs, his burial rites, and relieve any bills or debts he was able to tackle when he was still here on this Earth. Even if you have nothing to give monetarily, we can only ask that you keep his memory alive with us, and if you are able to share this with anyone else, we would be deeply grateful for you, and you would be one of the countless people who can give back to a family that had a man, who gave so much of his time, energy, warmth, and love. We thank you so much, and we will continue to do our best for him.

From our heart,
Yasmin, Berenice, & Christopher
