On December 29, 2021, Baby Emery J was born 10lbs 4oz and 20inches long. Shortly after birth, it was discovered that Emery had a condition called Truncus Arteriosus.
Truncus Arteriosus is a congenital disability of the heart. The blood vessel coming out of the heart in the developing baby fails to separate during development, leaving a connection between the aorta and pulmonary artery. For almost a month, a large team of doctors and specialists from UW Madison Pediatrics worked to fix Emery's heart and to give her the best chance at life. Unfortunately, her tiny body just became too overwhelmed from an infection that began shortly after surgery. On January 25, 2022, Emery left this earth to join her Grandfather Jason in Heaven. Emery's parents, Logan and Jacey, are devastated by losing their sweet baby girl. Emery will always be remembered for being a warrior and for fighting with everything she had. Emery touched so many lives during her short time on this Earth, and it was incredible to see so many people coming together for her. We are looking for help with funeral costs; all monies collected above that will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House as that is where Logan and Jacey stayed during Emery's stay at UW Madison. We want to say Thank You for the staff of Ronald McDonald House and to the Staff of UW Madison for all they have done for Logan, Jacey and Emery.
