On April 21, 2026, our hearts were shattered by the tragic loss of Lena Nash. Lena was a wonderful mother, sister, friend, and community advocate. Her life was taken far too soon, at just 42 years old, leaving her family and loved ones devastated. Of her 6 kids in total, she leaves behind two who are still underage, just 14 and 16 years old. Lena has sisters, foster family, birth family, and an extensive network of supporters. We all plan to wrap around her children in this time of bereavement to ensure that they are able to stabilize as a family, grieve in peace, and thrive in the future in spite of this heartbreaking tragedy.

During this unimaginable time of grief, Lena’s family is also facing the unexpected costs of cremation and memorial services. We are asking our community, friends, and loved ones to come together to help support Lena’s family and give her the peaceful and loving homegoing she deserves. Lena did not have life insurance, and total costs are estimated to total roughly 6,000 dollars. To compound matters at the time of Lena's passing, her family was already going through considerable financial hardships and experiencing housing instability. At this time, the family's housing status is in limbo, and they need support securing stable long-term housing.

Any donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial burden on the family during this heartbreaking time. Our goal is to use donations to cover cremation, memorial services, housing costs, and to create a financial trust for her children. The trust fund will assist Lena's extended family with financial coverage of the girl's daily care and matriculation through high school and college. We are committed to proper stewardship and accountability for all funds raised.
