We've had several people ask what they could do to help Keira. So we decided to start a Go Fund Me account to help with medical expenses i.e. co-pays, hospital stays, medications, and her special diet needs.
On July 15th 2015 our little Keira was unusually tired and looked pale. After taking her to her Pediatrician they sent us to the hospital to run tests. Much to our surprise she was diagnosed with Pre B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
Keira has had several blood and platelet transfusions, spinal taps, bone marrow tests, and an operation to have a port put in her chest. The port is for easier access and less pain for her labs and chemotherapy treatments, that she receives 1 to 2 times per week in San Diego about 40 minutes away from our house. Her treatment plan should run about 2 years.
