This drama film is a story about a young Latino boxer from The Bronx, NY that is struggling to accept the complete shift that came with losing literally everything he ever worked for due to an illness. The twist is that, almost nobody knows a thing and think that he actually just went away to focus on his career. Throughout this story you will see Mark, the protagonist, put up a front through social media for those that don’t know what happened to him but also, you’ll see him struggle to mourn for the things he has officially lost and is continuing to lose.
Where would funds go?
This project is my thesis film that is based on a true story and a film I’ve been working towards for the past year. By donating you will be helping me pay for locations to film, buy the necessary props, pay my cast and crew, and provide them food. The filming dates haven't been set, but it will take place in Early Spring 2021. Any support at any amount will help make this film reach the quality it has the potential to be.
Why does this story need to be told?
There hasn’t been a film that shed’s light on the traumas and experiences one would go through while dealing with the instant change that comes with having an autoimmune disorder. Your support doesn’t only mean helping me create a quality film, but it also means helping me bring more awareness to those who remain voiceless and continue to secretly struggle with auto immune disorders.
