My name is Chris. My wife Casey and I were asked are helping out our tenant and friend, Ian Cameron, and his beloved dog, Raven.
Raven is a 4-year-old Lab–Newfoundland mix with the sweetest personality. She’s gentle, loyal, and truly one of the best dogs anyone could ask for. Just two weeks after moving into his new home, Ian came home from work on September 4, 2025, to a heartbreaking scene—blood on the kitchen floor and Raven suffering from a serious wound.
Ian rushed Raven to the vet, where doctors discovered she had been stabbed by a sharp, pronged object. They believe someone may have broken in through the doggy door, and that Raven—always protective of her home and family—tried to defend the house. Sadly, she was injured in the process.
Thanks to quick action and emergency care, Raven received stitches and is expected to make a full recovery. But the vet bill was over $1,500—an overwhelming cost for Ian, who just started a new job a week earlier and is already juggling the expenses of moving and setting up his new life.
After leaving the vet, Ian did the right thing and contacted the police. Unfortunately, they were of little help. Officers took down a report but didn’t collect fingerprints, blood samples, or any real evidence. It’s unlikely the case will go further, leaving Ian with the financial and emotional aftermath.
Ian loves Raven dearly, and saving her life was never a question. Now, we’re asking for a little help to ease the financial burden of this unexpected emergency. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward covering Raven’s medical expenses and helping Ian get back on his feet.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support. Your generosity means the world to Ian and Raven.
